Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the DRVN mobile app and the drvnapp.com website (together, “DRVN”), provided by DRVN, LLC (“DRVN,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By using DRVN, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use DRVN.
What DRVN is, and what it isn’t
DRVN is educational support, not professional driver instruction. DRVN provides information and tools to support supervised driver practice. It is not a substitute for a licensed driving instructor, an approved driver education course, or the judgment of a qualified supervising driver.
DRVN does not determine legal readiness or licensing eligibility. Nothing in DRVN, including logged hours, lessons, skills, or progress information, certifies that a driver is ready to drive, eligible for a license, or qualified for insurance.
Parents and supervising adults remain responsible. The supervising adult is responsible for safe supervision during every practice drive and for meeting the requirements of your state, including any practice log or certification your state requires.
Official sources control. State licensing requirements change. Our state guides are checked regularly, but your state’s licensing agency is the official source. Always verify current requirements with that agency.
Use DRVN safely
Do not interact with the app while operating a vehicle if doing so would be unsafe or unlawful. The driver should never handle a phone while driving. Start, stop, and review drives only when it is safe and legal to do so, and follow your state’s laws on phone use behind the wheel.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity under your account. Linked parent and teen accounts share driving activity and progress information, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You must be old enough to begin the learner-driver process in your jurisdiction to use DRVN as a teen driver, and DRVN is not intended for children under 13. A parent or guardian should create and manage accounts for teens under 18.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse DRVN. That includes attempting to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, interfering with the service or its security, copying or scraping content at scale, using DRVN for any unlawful purpose, or uploading content that is harmful or that you don’t have the right to share.
Intellectual property
DRVN, including its software, articles, lessons, guides, design, and trademarks, is owned by DRVN, LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. You may use DRVN for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of it without our written permission.
Third-party links and services
DRVN links to third-party websites and services, including driver’s education providers, app stores, and government agencies. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, products, or practices. Some links are affiliate links; see our Affiliate Disclosure.
Disclaimer of warranties
DRVN is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that DRVN will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information in it is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DRVN, LLC and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from driving, vehicle operation, or reliance on information in DRVN. Our total liability for any claim relating to DRVN will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
Termination
You may stop using DRVN and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access to DRVN if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as DRVN evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of DRVN after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
